This December, WOSM is coming to Tartu, and we’d love to see you here!
Tartu is a small student town with cosy cafés, Christmas lights, and hopefully lots of snow in December. We’re excited to welcome you, spend time together, share ideas, and talk about the future of EGEA.
WOSM is where EGEAns come together to discuss EGEA’s future, share ideas, and plan what comes next.
Everyone is welcome to join, suggest session topics, and apply for the Support Fund.

Because we call it home. We love this city and want to show you around.
Because December is special here. Christmas lights, a Christmas market, ice skating, cosy cafés, and maybe even snow!
Because EGEA matters to us. Our members are active in the Board of EGEA and the North & Baltic Regional Team. Hosting WOSM is our way of giving something back.
And we’ve done it before! Tartu hosted WOSM four years ago, and we’re happy to welcome everyone back.
We encourage you to travel by bus or train if possible.
- Bus: Direct connections from Tallinn, Pärnu, and Riga. Check FlixBus, Lux Express, or Tpilet.
- Train: From Tallinn with Elron. Possible also from Riga or Vilnius.
- Plane: Fly to Tallinn or Riga and continue by bus or train. Also possible to fly from Helsinki straight to Tartu.
- Car: Driving is also an option. If you have a spare seat, consider sharing your ride!
| Evening programme
Night 1 · Sauna night
Enjoy a sauna by the Emajõgi River. Feeling brave? Take a dip in the cold river afterwards. Totally optional!
Night 2 · Tartu tour
Explore the city with us, discover some local favourites, and enjoy good food along the way.
Night 3 · Hannes night
Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at Town Hall Square and the festive programme of Little Hannes Night.

| Where will we stay and meet?
Accommodation: Kastanimaja Apartments (Kastani 39)
Apartments for 3-4 people with a kitchen, private bathroom, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Sessions: University of Tartu
- Thursday and Friday: Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Riia 23
- Saturday and Sunday: Department of Geography, Vanemuise 46
The Internet is available in all rooms, and online participation is possible.
Everything is within walking distance:
- University: 6 minutes
- City centre: around 15 minutes
- Bus and train stations: 10–20 minutes

Participation fee: 70€
Registration and the Call for Sessions close on 09.11.2026 at 23:59 CET.

| Support fund
You can apply for the EGEA Support Fund to make attending EGEA events more financially accessible! Applications are open during the event registration period.
Please keep in mind that the Support Fund relies on contributions collected through the efforts of volunteers, so every contribution makes a difference.
For WOSM, the Board of EGEA (BoE) aims to make the Support Fund available to more applicants.
