Shack’N Roll (Summer Edition)

Are you ready for a Mountain Cabin Weekend ? Come to the Shack`n`Roll 2026 summer edition! We’ll be enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery on hikes, and have some fun while chatting, playing games and doing arts & crafts. 

Accomodation:

We’ll be staying at Jugendberghaus Walmkogl in Reit im Winkl, right next to the german-austrian boarder. Be prepared for scenic views of the beautiful alpine. There will be 5 shared-rooms with 2-7 beds.

Program:

This is a preliminary, approximate plan that is likely to change depending on weather conditions, circumstances, etc.

Halfday hike:

We will decide on the exact hike depending on the day and mood, so that everyone will have fun!

There is the option of going for a short walk to Walmberg summit (~3 km) or if we want something a bit longer, we could go to the Wetterkreuz summit (~7 km)

Day hike:

We are planning to go to the Weitsee. This hike is probably going to be around 15 km and 500 m of elevation. At the lake we can go for a swim, and there is also the possibility to stop at an alp for a drink/ food on the way.

How to get there?

Public transport:

• From Munich: take a train to Prin am Chiemsee and then take Bus 9505 and exit at Entfeldmühle, from there you have to walk up to the hut: Jugendberghaus Walmkogl (Jederer 2, 83242 Reit im Winkl)

Car: enter Jederer 2, 83242 Reit im Winkl (Jugendberghaus Walmkogl) into your navigation system. There is limited parking space on site.
