Germany Weekend 2024

16 August to 19 August CEST

The Germany Weekend, the event that is actually supposed to be 90% German, is back. So join us for four lovely days on the board of the Baltic Sea.

We look forward to welcoming you to Altefähr, a small town on the coast of Rügen, from August 16 to 19. We are only a few minutes away from the beach so don’t forget to pack your bathing suits.

Location

Am Fährberg 8A
Altefähr, 18573 Germany
+ Google Map

How to get to the location
To get to Altefähr you first have to make it to Stralsund. You can do this by train, for example. Either take the ICE train directly to Stralsund, take the regional train from Berlin or go by Flixbus. Of course you can also get to Stralsund by car.

From Stralsund you have various options:

  • take a short 15 minute ferry to Altefähr
  • take bus line 1 directly from Stralsund Mainstation to Altefähr
  • take the regional train to Altefähr station and walk to the town center
  • or go by car and enjoy the view from the Rügendammbrücke

Program
What will the program look like? We will have trainings/skill sessions, excursions, evening programs and of course the meeting of german entities.

Speaking of training and skill sessions! We are looking for people who would like to do either a training or a skill session, which one it is is up to you. If you are interested please send us a short overview (half a page) of your idea for a training/skill session to germanyweekend.2024@egea.eu until June 16.

Registration
This event won’t be first come first serve. Instead we will have one fixed per german entity so 20 in total and fixed spots for skill session leaders/trainers. In addition to that we will introduce something new: we will have five fixed spots for EGEA newbies who have never been to an event before. The rest of the spots will be open for everyone. Of course we are looking forward to welcoming many Egeans from all over Europe.
