EGEA Helsinki 20th anniversary celebration – sitsit

Skål! EGEA Helsinki turns 20, and we are celebrating in true Finnish style! To mark this huge milestone, we are hosting a legendary Finnish academic tableparty – SITSIT!
WHat is this about?
And what is this SITSIT, you might ask? Well, if you were in NBRC 25, you are probably already filling in the registration form. And if you’ve never heard of sitsit before, don’t worry — you’re in for a treat. Think of it as a festive dinner filled with laughter, friends, creative toasts and especially singing. Throw away your prejudice of shy northern people who never show any joy and come to spend unforgettable night with us!
Sitsit
(swe:sittning)
is a Nordic student tradition, where participants sit at a dinner table and sing while dining. There is usually a three-course dinner with a theme. However food is usually not the main focus, but rather singing and being together. A song booklet is provided to you at the table and our songmasters host the evening and make sure everything runs smoothly.
General information
The theme is starry night and the dress code for the party is cocktail! We’ll start with welcome drinks at 17.30 and move to the tables at 18.00.
We have place approximately for 12 participants so be fast and secure your place. Places are filled in order of registration! Registration opens on Monday 3.11. at 12.00 (UTC+2) and closes on Sunday 16.11. at 23.59 (UTC+2).
Please note that the price (20€) only covers your ticket to the Sitsit (dinner, afterparty). Dinner includes 3-course vegan meal, wine and spirits to keep your singing voice fresh during the night.
The venue is located in Espoo. Metro will take you there from Helsinki center in no time. Please note that the venue is not accessible!
During the event, we will be following the principles of safer space. Please familiarize yourself with them also in advance here.
Additional information
We will try to arrange accommodation for participants at least for the night after the party, but we kindly ask you to be prepared to find accommodation elsewhere :3
