Kiel Week Event Vol. 5
25 June to 28 June CEST

After four amazing Kiel Week Events (2014, 2015, 2016, 2019) and a seven-year break, it’s finally time to return. We’re thrilled to invite you back to Kiel for a very special weekend!
Kiel Week is much more than a sailing regatta. Since the late 19th century, it has grown into one of the world’s largest sailing events and the biggest summer festival in Northern Europe. Every year, several million visitors fill the city with international flair, music, maritime culture, and a unique festival atmosphere right by the sea.
We would like to invite you to spend a weekend staying in our homes, exploring Kiel together, and experiencing the diverse programme of Kiel Week!
Programme
The official Kiel Week programme has not yet been published, so a little anticipation is still required. What we can promise, however, is a weekend full of shared experiences. Possible activities include a guided city tour of Kiel, ship and harbour tours, barbecues, concerts, swimming in the Baltic Sea, and plenty of spontaneous Kiel Week moments.
Accomodation & Getting there
Finding accommodation during Kiel Week is notoriously difficult, but that won’t be an issue for us. You’ll be staying at our homes, just like during the exchanges.
Kiel is located about 90 km north of Hamburg. Hamburg is easily accessible from across Europe by train or plane. From there, Kiel can be reached conveniently by train. In addition, Kiel is connected by ferry to Oslo (Norway), Gothenburg (Sweden), and Klaipėda (Lithuania).

Registration
Registration is not open yet, but make sure to save the date! Thanks to private accommodation and a programme closely linked to Kiel Week, the participation fee will be low. It will cover activities, food, non-alcoholic drinks, and public transport.
Please note that capacity is limited: we can host a maximum of 10 participants. So once registration opens, it will be first come, first served.
Registration opens on 31 March at 09:00 p.m.
