DESCRIPTION:Balkanijada is a congress organized by the entities in the former Yugoslavia. Each year\, another entity is the host. This year\, it’s Ljubljana’s turn to organise\, so we are happy to tell you that Balkanijada 15.0 is almost here! \n\n\n\nBalkanijada 15.0 with the theme Wild Forests will be hosted in Nova Štifta between 22nd and 25th of October. \n\n\n\n\n\nProgramme+\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will be posting more about our excursions and programme details closer to the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho can come to this event?+\n\n\n\n\nEntities from former Yugoslavia had early access to applications\, however this event is open to everyone! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccommodation+\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will be staying in a Franciscan monastery next to a 17th-century pilgrimage church in Nova Štifta near Ribnica. The monastery is located on the edge of Slovenia’s largest forest complex and offers stunning views of the Ribnica Valley and the surrounding woodlands. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrgateam+\n\n\n\n\n\nEva Družinec\n\n\n\nMarko Zelenjak\n\n\n\nHana Jenčič Turk\n\n\n\nTadej Klepej\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to get to Nova Štifta?+\n\n\n\n\nNova Štifta pri Ribnici is best reachable via Ribnica. Ribnica is easily reachable by public transport from Ljubljana\, while reaching it from other cities in Slovenia or Croatia without transfering in Ljubljana will be quite a challenge. Ljubljana is well connected to other European cities by frequent Flixbus connections\, nightrains and other international train connections (use the Deutsche Bahn website to find connections)\, while arriving by plane to Ljubljana airport might not be the cheapest option due to a lack of low cost carriers (consider Tarvisio\, Trieste or Zagreb instead if flying is a must). \n\n\n\nFrom Ribnica to Nova Štifta\, orgateam will be in contact regarding transfer. \n\n\n\nBy train\nRibnica is easily reachable by train\, since it lies on the trainline between Ljubljana and Kočevje\, which was completely renovated in the past years with brand new train stations. There are 11 trains a day from Ljubljana\, with most journeys requiring an easy transfer in the town of Grosuplje. You can check the timetable and buy tickets on the webpage of Slovene railways. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBy bus\nThere are hourly buses to Ribnica leaving from the Main bus station in Ljubljana (often called Ljubljana AP on the bus timetables)\, right in front of the Main train station. You can use the website of the Ljubljana bus station to check for the bus timetables. Unfortunately you cannot check for journeys which require a transfer\, so if you are coming from Bled for instance\, you have to check separately for the connection first to Ljubljana AP and from there to Ribnica. The two main bus companies in this part of the country are Arriva and Nomago. The correct name of the bus station in Ribnica is Ribnica na Dolenjskem. \n\n\n\nMost buses to Ribnica are bound to Kočevje\, so look for signs to Kočevje and/or Ribnica on the bus station in Ljubljana. You can buy the ticket directly from the bus driver. You should be able to buy the ticket by card\, however\, cash is the foolproof method. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBy car\nIf you are travelling by car\, there is ample parking space next to our accommodation in Nova Štifta. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe registration to the event is open until Sunday\, 4th of October 22:00 CEST. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n€ 80 for members of entities in former Yugoslavia\, € 85 for members of entities outside of former Yugoslavia \n\n\n\nNumber of participants: 30 + orga
