SUMMARY:SUMMER OSM IN HANNOVER
DESCRIPTION:Dear EGEAns\, \n\n\n\nfrom the 4th to the 7th of June\, the Summer Organisation and Strategy Meeting (SOSM) will take place in Hannover. During the Event we will have several sessions on relevant topics in EGEA. If you have a topic in mind that should be discussed you are welcome to suggest a topic. The event will include interesting discussions about the future of EGEA as well as fun and relaxed evening activities such as BBQ in one of our beautiful parks next to the geography department building. \n\n\n\nWhat is the OSM?It is a biannual meeting for all official bodies in EGEA. All Team representatives\, Regional Teams\, Supporting Roles\, Project representatives\, Congress Organisers\, Board and Advisory Board meet there to discuss the future of EGEA in order to come up with a common strategy and ways of accomplishing it. Everyone can register to participate in the OSM\, suggest topics and apply for the Support Fund (within the registration period). \n\n\n\nMinutes of the last yearYou can suggest topics for the different sessions which will be held during the SOSM. DESCRIPTION:EGEA Clean-Up Week – Join Us in Making a Difference \n\n\n\nThe Green Team is launching a coordinated Clean-Up Week across all entities in full Europe. The goal is simple: Come together and take responsibility for the spaces we share by collecting litter and improving the local environment of your entity. During this week\, participants can choose a day that works best for them to take part in the clean-up. Whether individually\, with friends\, or in organized groups\, everyone is welcome to contribute and have an positive impact on the environment. Activities can take place in parks\, along streets\, in neighborhoods\, or in nearby natural areas. To support your participation\, you can request equipment such as gloves\, trash bags\, and grabbers from your local municipal utilities or waste management services. Many municipalities are happy to assist with materials and may also provide guidance on waste disposal. \n\n\n\nIf you want to make it even bigger\, you can contact the local media\, involve the general public or schools etc.\, creating awareness for the topic and publicity around EGEA. \n\n\n\nBy participating\, you help reduce environmental pollution\, protect urban ecosystems\, and strengthen community awareness for sustainable living. Even small efforts add up when many people get involved. Let’s work together to create cleaner\, healthier cities – one bag of collected waste at a time. \n\n\n\nChoose a date within the Clean Up Week between 8th and 14th of June\, collect as much waste as possible and dispose it correctly. That’s it! \n\n\n\nReward for participation \n\n\n\nThere will be a little reward for all entities\, that participate. DESCRIPTION:We held a Travel Stories for Zagreb EGEAns to tell them about our EGEA adventures this academic year.It included our exchanges and congresses we attended\, and we also played a little Geoguessr to guess where we will hopefully be heading for our autumn/winter exchanges. We ended the programme with little cultural fair where people could try food&drinks from countries we visited 🙂

DESCRIPTION:After four amazing Kiel Week Events (2014\, 2015\, 2016\, 2019) and a seven-year break\, it’s finally time to return. We’re thrilled to invite you back to Kiel for a very special weekend! \n\n\n\nKiel Week is much more than a sailing regatta. Since the late 19th century\, it has grown into one of the world’s largest sailing events and the biggest summer festival in Northern Europe. Every year\, several million visitors fill the city with international flair\, music\, maritime culture\, and a unique festival atmosphere right by the sea. \n\n\n\nWe would like to invite you to spend a weekend staying in our homes\, exploring Kiel together\, and experiencing the diverse programme of Kiel Week! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgramme\n\n\n\nWe will spend a lot of time at Kiel Week\, which will be at the heart of our program. Key highlights include the famous Tall Ships Parade and the Night Glow\, where illuminated hot air balloons light up the night sky. At the same time\, we want to keep things flexible and go with the flow: Perhaps spontaneously attending a concert\, visiting a ship\, or joining other activities we come across. However\, many official races take place further out at sea\, so we cannot see them. It will also be very\, very crowded. If you don’t feel comfortable in large crowds\, we recommend that you do not attend the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccomodation & Getting there\n\n\n\nFinding accommodation during Kiel Week is notoriously difficult\, but that won’t be an issue for us. You’ll be staying at our homes\, just like during the exchanges. It would be best if you plan to arrive in Kiel between 2 pm and 7 pm.  \n\n\n\nKiel is located about 90 km north of Hamburg. Hamburg is easily accessible from across Europe by train or plane. From there\, Kiel can be reached conveniently by train. In addition\, Kiel is connected by ferry to Oslo (Norway)\, Gothenburg (Sweden)\, and Klaipėda (Lithuania). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nThe participation fee is 60 € and covers all activities\, public transport\, food\, and non-alcoholic drinks. If there is any budget remaining at the end of the event\, we will handle it transparently and decide together whether it should be refunded or reinvested into the programme. \n\n\n\nImportant: We can currently only host 9 people and have already received around 20 registrations. However\, if you happen to be free at short notice (in case someone drops out at the last minute) you can still register here and be added to the waiting list.
