It is famous for its volcanic landscape with crater lakes\, dense forest\, charming medieval castles\, and the racing track Nürburgring. The region attracts many tourists\, especially from the nearby Ruhr area\, who come for hiking\, cycling\, and relaxation in nature. Its proximity to Belgium and major cities like Cologne make it both a peaceful and well-connected region. \n\n\n\nThe Western Regional Congress 2026 will focus on the “Adventure and Heritage” that the Eifel region has to offer. With a divers program covering many aspects of the area\, participants will have the chance to learn\, explore\, and experience the very best of the Eifel within just a few days.
