SUMMARY:Shack'N Roll (Summer Edition)
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready for a Mountain Cabin Weekend ? Come to the Shack`n`Roll 2026 summer edition! We’ll be enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery on hikes\, and have some fun while chatting\, playing games and doing arts & crafts.  \n\n\n\nAccomodation:\n\n\n\nWe’ll be staying at Jugendberghaus Walmkogl in Reit im Winkl\, right next to the german-austrian boarder. Be prepared for scenic views of the beautiful alpine. There will be 5 shared-rooms with 2-7 beds. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram:\n\n\n\nThis is a preliminary\, approximate plan that is likely to change depending on weather conditions\, circumstances\, etc. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHalfday hike: \n\n\n\nWe will decide on the exact hike depending on the day and mood\, so that everyone will have fun! \n\n\n\nThere is the option of going for a short walk to Walmberg summit (~3 km) or if we want something a bit longer\, we could go to the Wetterkreuz summit (~7 km) \n\n\n\nDay hike: \n\n\n\n We are planning to go to the Weitsee. This hike is probably going to be around 15 km and 500 m of elevation. At the lake we can go for a swim\, and there is also the possibility to stop at an alp for a drink/ food on the way. \n\n\n\nHow to get there?\n\n\n\nPublic transport: \n\n\n\n\nFrom Munich: take a train to Prin am Chiemsee and then take Bus 9505 and exit at Entfeldmühle\, from there you have to walk up to the hut: Jugendberghaus Walmkogl (Jederer 2\, 83242 Reit im Winkl)\n\n\n\n\nCar: enter Jederer 2\, 83242 Reit im Winkl (Jugendberghaus Walmkogl) into your navigation system. DESCRIPTION:Dear EGEAns\, \n\n\n\nfrom the 4th to the 7th of June\, the Summer Organisation and Strategy Meeting (SOSM) will take place in Hannover. During the Event we will have several sessions on relevant topics in EGEA. If you have a topic in mind that should be discussed you are welcome to suggest a topic. The event will include interesting discussions about the future of EGEA as well as fun and relaxed evening activities such as BBQ in one of our beautiful parks next to the geography department building. \n\n\n\nWhat is the OSM?It is a biannual meeting for all official bodies in EGEA. All Team representatives\, Regional Teams\, Supporting Roles\, Project representatives\, Congress Organisers\, Board and Advisory Board meet there to discuss the future of EGEA in order to come up with a common strategy and ways of accomplishing it. Everyone can register to participate in the OSM\, suggest topics and apply for the Support Fund (within the registration period). \n\n\n\nMinutes of the last yearYou can suggest topics for the different sessions which will be held during the SOSM. DESCRIPTION:After four amazing Kiel Week Events (2014\, 2015\, 2016\, 2019) and a seven-year break\, it’s finally time to return. We’re thrilled to invite you back to Kiel for a very special weekend! \n\n\n\nKiel Week is much more than a sailing regatta. Since the late 19th century\, it has grown into one of the world’s largest sailing events and the biggest summer festival in Northern Europe. Every year\, several million visitors fill the city with international flair\, music\, maritime culture\, and a unique festival atmosphere right by the sea. \n\n\n\nWe would like to invite you to spend a weekend staying in our homes\, exploring Kiel together\, and experiencing the diverse programme of Kiel Week! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgramme\n\n\n\nWe will spend a lot of time at Kiel Week\, which will be at the heart of our program. Key highlights include the famous Tall Ships Parade and the Night Glow\, where illuminated hot air balloons light up the night sky. At the same time\, we want to keep things flexible and go with the flow: Perhaps spontaneously attending a concert\, visiting a ship\, or joining other activities we come across. However\, many official races take place further out at sea\, so we cannot see them. It will also be very\, very crowded. If you don’t feel comfortable in large crowds\, we recommend that you do not attend the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccomodation & Getting there\n\n\n\nFinding accommodation during Kiel Week is notoriously difficult\, but that won’t be an issue for us. You’ll be staying at our homes\, just like during the exchanges. It would be best if you plan to arrive in Kiel between 2 pm and 7 pm.  \n\n\n\nKiel is located about 90 km north of Hamburg. Hamburg is easily accessible from across Europe by train or plane. From there\, Kiel can be reached conveniently by train. In addition\, Kiel is connected by ferry to Oslo (Norway)\, Gothenburg (Sweden)\, and Klaipėda (Lithuania). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nThe participation fee is 60 € and covers all activities\, public transport\, food\, and non-alcoholic drinks. If there is any budget remaining at the end of the event\, we will handle it transparently and decide together whether it should be refunded or reinvested into the programme. \n\n\n\nImportant: We can currently only host 9 people and have already received around 20 registrations. These isles have sunbathed in Mediterranean seas during Pangea’s reign\, to later be moved and carved into the mosaic of morphologies you see today by fluvial and glacial processes. As such\, we are promoting our Green initiative to help create awareness to the variety of options available and we want to encourage EGEAns to travel in groups to make memorable travel experiences. \n\n\n\nDuring the congress we also will be including a sustainability bingo for our participants to play throughout the week. This involves fun tasks revealed each day and the opportunity to win prizes while making a positive sustainable impact. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to get here?\n\n\n\nFerry: Being surrounded by water has its perks\, and for participants coming by boat that means watching the beautiful White Cliffs of Dover home into view!  \n\n\n\nEurostar/Train: Ever wanted to ride a train under the sea? Well now you can! The Eurostar from Amsterdam/Brussels/Paris will bring you straight to central London! Book 2-3 months in advance for best prices. \n\n\n\nBus: If you can get to Paris or Brussels Flixbus does very cheap (albeit very long) journeys to central London! \n\n\n\nAeroplane: For those in a time crunch\, flying to Gatwick or Heathrow makes a good option with many flights to all major European airports and easy connections to Guildford\, the nearest city.
