Consequently\, future generations can live on a life-friendly planet with working ecosystems and a great amount of Biodiversity. \n\n\n\nTherefore\, the WRC 2022 offers the possibility to discuss methods of preventing anthropogenic influences on the environment. This includes ideas on raising awareness\, sustainable food consumption and restoring previously damaged ecosystems. EGEAns will not only be able to discuss problems but also develop strategies on solving those issues. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Program\n\n\n\nThis is only a temporary draft of the program! Therefore\, we will only conduct the congress with fully vaccinated people or people who have had Covid within 6 months prior to the congress. If you would like to participate in it\, we recommend that you will be there on time. The registration starts at 11\, so you can hang out with other participants and get into the EGEA mood before the opening ceremony begins. \n\n\n\nBy public transport: \n\n\n\nYou should definitely make use of the Deutsche Bahn app or Google maps to look for public transport connections. \n\n\n\nDeutsche Bahn is always delayed\, so if you can’t decide between two connections\, take the earlier one or one where you don’t have to switch trains too often. \n\n\n\nIf you use Deutsche Bahn or Flixbus\, please click on the logos before booking. By doing so\, EGEA gets a small percentage of the money you paid: \n\n\n\n\nSponsors and Partners\n\n\n\n\nVia Bremen: \n\n\n\nTake the RE1 from Bremen Trainstation (Hauptbahnhof)\, switch in Delmenhorst to RB58. Exit in Vechta\, take the Bus S60 to Damme (Dümmer) Jugendherberge. This is the busstation of the accommodation. Here you can find the bustimes: https://www.moobilplus.de/media/moobil_fahrplan_linie_s60_web.pdf \n\n\n\nVia Osnabrück: \n\n\n\nFrom Osnabrück Hauptbahnhof\, Take the bus X585 to Damme (Dümmer) ZOB. Take the bus 212 to Damme(Dümmer) ZOB.  From there you can either walk 2 km or take the bus 655 to Damme (Dümmer) Freibad and walk the rest from there. \n\n\n\nVia Hannover: \n\n\n\nTake a train to Osnabrück (for example: WRB RE60 or WFBRE70 and switch in Herford to RB61) \n\n\n\nTake a train to Bremen (RE1 or RE8). \n\n\n\nOnce you are in Bremen or Osnabrück\, follow the previous instructions. \n\n\n\nLower Saxony Ticket: \n\n\n\nIn order to reach Damme\, you have to take a lot of different connections. If you want to use public transport\, you can consider getting a Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) ticket. It works in the district of Lower Saxony and you can take any bus and all RE\, RB\, S and RS trains. You can only start using it from 9 am on though. Up to five people can share a ticket – the more you are\, the cheaper it gets for each person. The cheapest is 8\,80€ per person and you can find more information here\, although it is in German https://niedersachsenticket.de/ \n\n\n\nIn the section of Carsharing we posted a link to a spreadsheet\, you can put your name in the sheet of “Sharing a Niedersachsen Ticket” if you want to find people to share it with you. \n\n\n\nBy Car & Carsharing: \n\n\n\nYou can either use Blablacar\, but the connections are usually only uploaded a few days in advance. You can also ask your driver beforehand to take a small detour and drop you off in Damme. \n\n\n\nWe also created this document\, so you can share a ride. Your ticket is valid a whole day\, so you don’t need to reserve a specific train at a certain hour\, and prices stay the same (so no need to reserve a few days ahead).  \n\n\n\nYou can find your connections on the website of NMBS. For international tickets\, the website of Deutsche Bahn proves better (cheaper) usually\, when coming through Germany. Cheaper for -26\, but can be cheapest in combination with Youth ticket or Youth multi (starting from the first border station on the Belgian side).Ticket on the train: if you don’t buy your ticket in advance\, you can also buy it on the train\, but this costs 7 euro on top of the normal price! \n\n\n\n\nBy bus\nBy busThere is a Flixbus stop at the train station in Leuven\, but most good connections go to Brussel North or Antwerpen. Don’t forget to use the Flixbus link of EGEA to book\, EGEA gets a commission from this! Blablacar also has more and more good bus connections.  \n\n\n\nFor local busses in Flanders\, you can check for connections through the website of de De Lijn\, or Google Maps shows them pretty decently too actually. The closest bus stop is called Bekkevoort Oude Tiensebaan\, and you can get there from Leuven or Diest with line 370.  \n\n\n\nFor tickets\, you can use the app\, buy them through text message ( text “DL” to 4884)\, or you can buy it at a newspaper store or De Lijn shop (in bigger stations\, like Leuven). You can find the full overview of all available tickets and where to buy them on the website.  \n\n\n\nDue to COVID\, you are not allowed to get in on the front of the bus!  \n\n\n\n\nBy car\nFind the address of the venue above\, type it into your GPS\, Waze\, Google Maps\, … and drive safe 😉 There is parking space available at the venue. If you don’t have a car\, you can also try to find a ride through Blablacar.  \n\n\n\nCarpooling is recommended\, cause it’s fun and sustainable! 😀 Feel free to use the comment section or Facebook event to look for travel buddies! \n\n\n\n\nBy plane\nFor some of you\, a train or bus might not be feasible options\, so for this case\, Belgium has the airport of Charleroi (also called Brussels South)\, and the airport of Zaventem (also called Brussels Airport).From the airport of Charleroi you can find shuttle busses to the train station of Charleroi and take a train from there\, or shuttle busses to Brussel-Midi train station and continue from there. For more info on the train schedule and tickets\, look above.From Zaventem airport\, you have a train station directly at your disposal (just follow the arrows in the airport)\, but you need to buy a train ticket with an additional airport tax.
