NBRC 2020: Open Call for Workshop Leaders is prolonged until 28.11 !

EGEA Vilnius is happy to announce that the open call for workshop leaders at the North & Baltic Regional Congress in Lithuania is officially open! NBRC will take place in Elniakampis, Neris Regional Park, 27.04 – 01.05.2020.

 

Congress topic is „Atomic Ghost. Do we learn from the past?“. On the NBRC 2020 page (https://egea.eu/activity/northbaltic-regional-congress-2020/topic/) you can read more about the topic.

 

OPEN CALL FOR WORKSHOP LEADERS

We expect to have 4 workshops. They will last 9h in total and will be divided into 3 sessions, which are followed by presentations.

 

Suggested workshops topics:

  • Does nuclear energy have a place in sustainable cities?;
  • Challenges and problems in atomic regions;
  • Post-nuclear urbanism;
  • Legal and illegal atomic tourism;
  • Radiation pollution;
  • Tension between countries caused by nuclear energy (Lithuania and Belarus example).

 

Also, feel free to suggest your own topic!

 

Leading a workshop will provide you:

  • A fixed place for NBRC 2020;
  • A fixed place for an exclusive excursion to Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant;
  • A certificate for holding a workshop;
  • Our full support before and during the congress.

 

How to apply?

Application must be sent to nbrc2020@egea.eu until 28.11.2019 23:59 CEST.

Information you need to provide in the application letter:

  • Contact information: full name, entity, e-mail;
  • Your experience: academic, as a workshop leader, in EGEA;
  • Your motivation to lead a workshop;
  • Information about your planned workshop: topic, aims and benefits of workshop and etc..
