Wildalpen is a small village in the heart of Austria, in Upper Styria, nearly in the middle of nowhere. 500 people live in this rural area with its mountains and breathtaking nature. The centre of the village is situated in the valley where one of the last wildwater rivers of middle europe passes through, the so called “Salza”. Wildalpen is a summer tourism hot spot: Hiking, kajaking and rafting or just relaxing in a great landscape. The region is also famous for its very good drinking water. Since 1910 a pipeline brings water on a long journey to Vienna, the capital of Austria.
