Entity management… is actually funnier than it seems ;)

Training sessions:

      • Michael Witte (EGEA Marburg – FundComm) and Veronika Sorčan (EGEA Ljubljana – FundComm) – Fundraising training
      • This Training will open your mind towards fundraising and give you basic strategies to be able to support your Entity, EGEA and your own Projects through fundraising! We will give you an introduction about how to approach companies in the right way and to stand out of the mass of other fundraisers and how you finally seal the deal, realize your event and follow up with your sponsor to have a long-term cooperation! These skills will not just help you to support you local Entity and EGEA but also in your future Life by getting in contact with companies and learn how to sell yourself.

      • Oxana Kozar (EGEA Helsinki) – How to make a good interview: theories and tricks
      • Interview is an important research method in human geography, which can also be used for many other purposes. However, there are different approaches to the interviews. We are going to combine different theories and tricks taken from human geographers, social scientists, ethnographers and journalists, discuss their pluses and minuses as well as the situations where these tricks can be used. In the end participants will try and take an interview using some of these tricks.

      • Nadine Vermeulen and Roxane Verhoeff (EGEA Utrecht) – Face the challenge of team management
      • This training will focus on team management; an important but often overlooked practice. The well-functioning of a team is extremely important for the well functioning of an association as a whole, and the aim of this training is to provide the participants with new insights in this challenging practice. During the training, the group will face simulations of real life challenges to a team in which each participant gets another character. For example; president, initiator of the activity, treasurer etc. This way, the participants of the training will learn how to manage a team in different situations and how to handle with different characters in one team. If you would like to get new perspectives for the management of your team, or if you’re planning to manage a team in the (nearby) future, then sign up and face the challenge of team management together with us!

      • Nora Hilbert (EGEA Marburg – HRTC) – Enhance your presentation skills
      • “The aim of this training is to give the participants the possibility to improve their presentation skills.
Participants will be able to identify their weaknesses and potentials in presentation. We will work on body language, voice and how to use interactions with the audience. The focus will be on learning about ones weaknesses and strengths, getting more confidence and learn to handle unexpected situations.
Beside this the training wants to give a first impression of improvisation theatre and how to use these methods.
Also improvisation theatre actors need a lot of training to be able to entertain people! In this training we will experience a lot of methods used in improvisation theatre to enhance your creativity and confidence on stage. These methods will be mostly very interactive and using your whole body, giving your brain enough freedom to relax and come up with great ideas!
Don’t worry you neither need to be very sportive nor having experience in theatre.”
