In order to reach Isola Polvese, you have to get to the starting point of the ferries, San Feliciano. And the last ferry to the island leaves at 7 PM.
IMPORTANT: after some changes in the programme, we’re going to organise a direct shuttle bus service from/to Rome before and after the event. Costs for participants will depend on number of participants using this service, but is going to be lower than public transport connections, and will allow to take part to the CP day and to the excursion on Friday. Bus is scheduled to leave from Rome on Friday at 8 AM, and, if needed, from San Feliciano after the end of the event. More news after the first payment deadline (May 6th): take this option into account when planning your trip.
By train: closer train station are in Magione and in Passignano. From there, a bus service connects both stations to San Feliciano. Magione and Passignano are reachable from Florence with direct trains (headed to Perugia) or from Rome by taking trains to Ancona and changing in Foligno or by taking trains to Florence and changing in Arezzo or Terontola.
Another option is gathering in Chiusi. Chiusi is the main station of the area, and almost all trains between Rome and Florence stop there, including direct trains from Trieste and EuroNight trains from Munich and Vienna.
Timetables are available at trenitalia.com
