Write your Role – Understanding and Breaking down Gender Roles

Location: Sevilla (Map)
Date: 03/03/2016 - 08/03/2016

In March 2016 we will organize a seminar, namely the

“Write Your Role – Understanding and breaking down gender roles”

This event will bring together 32 young students of geography and other subjects interested in feminist theories in order to discuss, understand and work on feminist geography theory. During a 6-days programme, participants will bring their experiences and elaborate together on several subtopics (gender and media; gender and research; gender and policy making, gender and leadership; gender and democratic participation); at the end of the event, they will be able to utilize their academic knowledge and in their everyday lives practice the main principles of feminist geography, a research branch studying the spatial effects of human processes based on gender.

We are happy to get funded by the Youth in Action Programme of the Council of Europe: this will allow us to set the participation fee at 50€ and to offer a travel refund of 50€ to every participant.
